Clomid belongs to the SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) group of drugs to treat female infertility. The drug stimulates the production of hormones required for ovulation to take place. Pregnancy can only occur during ovulation.
A woman is considered to be infertile after trying to fall pregnant for a year. Infertility can be caused by a number of conditions.
