Libido for her

Clomid belongs to the SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) group of drugs to treat female infertility. The drug stimulates the production of hormones required for ovulation to take place. Pregnancy can only occur during ovulation.

A woman is considered to be infertile after trying to fall pregnant for a year. Infertility can be caused by a number of conditions. These include endometriosis (when the endometrial lining grows outside the uterus), fibroids (non-cancerous growths in the uterus), hormonal imbalance, thyroid problems and STDs (sexually transmitted diseases). 40 percent of infertility cases are due to problems with the female reproductive system.

Doctors prescribe Clomid for other medical conditions.

If your doctor has prescribed Clomid to treat female infertility, be cautious in the early stages of treatment because this drug can cause vision problems and dizziness. If you experience these side-effects notify your doctor immediately. When Clomid is used with alcohol and other medications, the vision problems and dizziness may increase. Always take Clomid as prescribed by a doctor – never use more, or less, without asking your doctor.

Ovulation occurs within 5-10 days after a dose of Clomid. This is the time when sexual intercourse should take place to increase the chance of pregnancy. Drugs like Clomid can result in multiple births. If you miss a dose consult a doctor. Do not take more than three doses of Clomid. If attempts to fall pregnant are unsuccessful after three doses speak to your doctor about other methods.
